Registration is required to participate in various parts of the OGP Global Summit and Summit website.
The 2021 OGP Global Summit Preparatory Office (hereinafter “Preparatory Office”), in order to protect the personal information of users in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act (hereinafter “PIPA”) and to address possible relevant issues in a prompt and efficient manner, hereby discloses below Privacy Policy on utilizing personal information:
Article 1 (Purpose of Using Personal Information) The Preparatory Office uses personal information for the following purposes only, and when there is a change to these purposes, it will conduct necessary action such as seeking the user’s consent, as per Article 18 of the PIPA.

2. Perform identification and authentication with regards to delivery of service
3. Maintain and manage the register`s qualifications
4. Conduct identification in accordance with the real-name system
5. Prevent fraudulent use of services
Article 2 (Retention Period and Processing of Personal Information)
① The Preparatory Office uses and retains personal information for the period specified by law or for a period previously agreed upon by the user at the time of their personal information collection.
② Personal information is used and retained as follows:

Article 3 (Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party)
① The Preparatory Office uses the user’s personal information only within the bounds specified in Article 1 (Purpose of Using Personal Information) and it provides such personal information to a third party only in accordance with Article 17 and 18 of the PIPA, including with the user’s consent and under special circumstances required by law.

Article 4 (Outsourcing of Personal Information Management)
① To ensure efficient management of personal information, the Preparatory Office has hired outside entities as follows:

Delegated services: website maintenance and server management and overall event operation
② When hiring an outside entity, the Preparatory Office ensures that the agreement with the entity specifies the ban on using personal information for purposes other than performing their consigned services, technical and managerial protection measures, the ban on sub-delegating such services, the supervision and oversight of the entity, and contractual obligations such as compensation for losses and that the entity uses personal information in a secure manner, in accordance with Article 26 of the PIPA.
③ If there is a modification to the scope of delegated services or to the hired entities, the Preparatory Office will disclose such changes immediately through this Privacy Policy.
Article 5 (User and legal representative’s Rights and Obligations and the Method of Exercising Such Rights)
① As part of their right to privacy protection, the user can make the request for viewing, amendment, deleting and suspending the use of personal information to the Preparatory Office at any time.
② The user can exercise their rights set forth in Paragraph 1 through a letter, phone call, email, FAX, etc., under the Enforcement Rules of the PIPA Article 41 Paragraph 1, in which case the Preparatory Office will take necessary measures immediately.
③ The user can exercise their rights stipulated in Paragraph 1 through an agent such as their legal representative or attorney-in-fact, in which case the user is required to submit a power of attorney according to Form 11 set forth in the attachment of the Notice of Processing of Personal Information Processing Method (No. 2020-7).
④ The request for viewing and suspending the use of personal information may be restricted pursuant to Article 35 Paragraph 4 and Article 37 Paragraph 2 of the PIPA
⑤ The request for amendment and deleting the use of personal information shall not be requested if the personal information is specified in other Acts`s collection abject.
⑥ The Preparatory Office should check whether the person who made the request for viewing, amendment, deleting and suspending the use of personal information, according to the right of the information subject, is himself or herself or a legitimate deputy.
Article 6 (Personal Information Used)
The Preparatory Office uses the following personal information:
1. Article 1 Paragraph 1~5:
- Required: E-mail(ID), Password, Name, Organization, Job Title, Country/Region, Local Time, Area of Interest, etc.
- Optional: Information provided at the time of registration such as Department, Gender, Mailing Lists, Social Media, Introduction, Profile Photo, etc.
2. The following personal information fields can be automatically created and collected, during the Internet service use process: IP address, cookie, MAC address, service use record, visit record
Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)
① The Preparatory Office destroys relevant personal information immediately if such information is no longer needed, including when the retention period has expired or the purpose of the information use has been achieved.
② Even when the term of retention agreed upon by the user has expired or the purpose of information use has been achieved, the Preparatory Office transfers relevant personal information to a separate database or stores this information in another space if other laws require this information be retained.
③ The procedure for, and the method of, destroying personal information are as follows:

The Preparatory Office identifies personal information to be destroyed for predetermined reasons and then destroys this information after obtaining approval from the privacy officer of the Preparatory Office in charge of managing personal information.

The Preparatory Office destroys personal information recorded and stored in the form of electronic data by using such methods as low-level format to render the destroyed data irrecoverable, and it destroys personal information recorded and stored in paper document by burning or shredding the files.
Article 8 (Personal Information Security)
The Preparatory Office takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:

Article 6 (Change of Registration Information)
If any changes occur to the personal information you entered at the time of registration, you as a registered user may modify your personal information on the Website in person or contact the administrator to request information update. Article 7 (Deletion and Cancellation of Registration Information)

② If any one of the following reasons shall occur to any registered users, the administrator of the 2021 OGP Global Summit Website may delete or cancel their registration without prior notice.
- In case of stealing another registered user’s ID or password
- In case of engaging in activity that causes harm or potential harm to others
- In case of planning or executing activity that undermines public order or social morals, such as encouraging speculative acts or posting lewd or obscene materials
- In case of damaging others’ information processed, stored, and transmitted through telecommunications networks or engaging in any activity of collecting, storing, infringing, stealing or leaking personal information of others in an unauthorized manner
- In case of posting unnecessary or unauthorized advertisements or promotional materials, or sending junk or spam mails
- In case of sending commercial emails against the recipient's explicit refusal of reception
- In case of engaging in other illegal or wrongful acts including those prohibited by the relevant laws and regulations such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
- In case of habitual violation of the provisions of Article 10 (Content Management Policy)
- If it is otherwise deemed necessary by the administrator of the 2021 OGP Global Summit Website
Article 8 (Hours of Service)
① Any Service that is not directly supported by the administrator may be used all year round (24 hours a day) unless such use of the Service may cause any issues with business operations or technical systems: provided, however, that the Service may be suspended due to natural disasters or system maintenance.
② Any Service directly provided by the administrator shall be used in principle during the work hours of the administrator in relation to the management of the 2021 OGP Global Summit Website.
Article 9 (Restriction and Suspension of Service)
The 2021 OGP Global Summit Website may restrict or suspend some or all of its Service if any of the following events shall occur:
The 2021 OGP Global Summit shall not be liable for any problems arising from the suspension of the Service.

2) Defamation, invasion of privacy and copyright Infringement
- In case of stealing another registered user’s ID or password

3) Content that is obscene or inappropriate for minors
- In case of planning or executing activity that undermines public order or social morals, such as encouraging speculative acts or posting lewd or obscene materials
4) Content that contains illegal or inappropriate information
- If the content is recognized as being related to a criminal act
- Content that divulges trade secrets or state secrets classified according to laws and regulations
5) Content that discloses personal information
- In case of damaging others’ information processed, stored, and transmitted through telecommunications networks or engaging in any activity of collecting, storing, infringing, stealing or leaking personal information of others in an unauthorized manner
6) Profanity or speech promoting disrespect for life, hatred or discrimination
- Content that uses swear words directly or indirectly, making people feel insulted
- Content that promotes disrespect for or degrade of life
- Hate speech that dehumanizes people based on class, region, religion, gender, etc.
- Expressions of contempt regarding physical traits, appearance, taste, etc.
7) Others (violating Terms of Use or relevant laws)
⑤ Sanctions: Users may be subject to the following measures if they engage in any prohibited acts in the preceding paragraph
1) User Content that has been confirmed as violating the preceding paragraph ④ or that has been reported as violating the same in excess of a certain number of times shall be automatically deleted on a temporary basis and may be restored if the User responsible for its creation successfully establishes that such User Content does not violate the preceding paragraph.
2) Users responsible for creating User Content that has been confirmed as violating the preceding paragraph ④ or that has been reported as violating the same in excess of a certain number of times shall be automatically restricted from creating additional User Content for a certain period of time and this restriction may be removed if the User successfully establishes that such User Content does not violate the preceding paragraph ④. ※ The criteria for determining the number of violations that will result in the sanctions specified in the preceding subparagraphs 1) or 2) and the duration of such sanctions shall be determined on a regular basis after considering an appropriate threshold that can protect the Service and Users from improper content in the course of operating the Services.
Article 11 (Link)
The 2021 OGP Global Summit may provide links to third party websites or materials. Given that the 2021 OGP Global Summit does not have control over the websites or materials associated with such links, it shall not be liable for the content, advertisements, or products on the linked websites or materials unless there exist any particular grounds for willful or gross negligence that may be attributable to the 2021 OGP Global Summit.
Article 12 (Obligations of Users)
① Users shall abide by the relevant laws and regulations, the provisions of the Terms of Use, user guide, precautions disclosed through the Service, and other matters notified by the 2021 OGP Global Summit, and shall not engage in any activity that interferes with the business of the 2021 OGP Global Summit.
② Users shall not copy, reproduce, change, translate, publish, broadcast, or otherwise use the information obtained in the process of using the Service or provide it to others without prior consent of the 2021 OGP Global Summit.

- Users who do not wish to disclose their personal information may check ‘I disagree’ for the ‘Consent to disclose personal profile information’ field
Article 16. (Indemnity)
① The 2021 OGP Global Summit shall not be held liable for any damage that may arise from the user's failure to obtain expected benefits from the Service provided on the 2021 OGP Global Summit Website, or from the selected use or use of the Service information.
② The 2021 OGP Global Summit shall not be held liable for any obstacles to the use of the 2021 OGP Global Summit Website that may arise due to reasons attributable to the user.
